At Evolution, the safety of our clients and staff is our number one priority. All needles used for piercing are sterile and single use (you will witness their disposal). Jewelry and instruments used for piercing are also sterilized in an autoclave prior to use. These items will be either opened from sterile pouches or sterilized in a Statim autoclave in your presence (Statim cycles will include an integrator strip to insure processing has occurred). All of our autoclave sterilizers are spore tested weekly by an independent laboratory and results are kept on file showing they are functioning properly.

All piercers receive training in Bloodborne Pathogens and Infection Control
training at least annually and maintain current certification in First Aid and CPR. We have all necessary permits from the City of Albuquerque Environmental Health Department posted in our studio, along with many other certificates of training. We are members of the Association of Professional Piercers, the National Environmental Health Association, the American Public Health Association, the National Safety Council and the Better Business Bureau.
