Angela Gonzales, Piercing Apprentice

I grew up in Bernalillo New Mexico, a small town north of Albuquerque. My family is very important to me. If it were not for my parents and sister I would not be where I am today. In school, I competitively played soccer and participated in other extra curricular activities such as bass guitar, art, law, and photography club. Since a very young age, self-expression has been very important to me. As soon as I turned eighteen, I started collecting my first piercings and tattoos. I loved the way they made me feel. I felt more complete in my own skin with my new beautiful adornments though out my body! I am hooked!

After graduating from Bernalillo High School in 2006, I continued my education at the University of New Mexico and Central New Mexico Community College. I studied Fine Arts, Photography, and Business for two years. I found myself doing more research on the subject of body modification. I felt so passionate about learning more of the piercing industry. I decided to commit all my time and finances in research. I attended my first Association of Professional Piercers Conference and Exposition in 2008. Ever since, I have attended the conferences to evolve my knowledge base. I started as counter help at Evolution Body Piercing in 2008 and worked my way up to Assistant Manager. I began my apprenticeship in early 2012 with an abundance of passion and excitement! I thrive in connecting with my clientele and am honored to help walk them through their own unique experience.

I am so grateful to be a part of a reputable, committed, and caring studio. I am so thankful for Shawn, Crystal and Noah for taking me under their wings and teaching me so much and allowing me to develop into the person I am five years later. Over the years of working at Evolution, I have also had the opportunity to work with and learn from Jamie Clark, Clay Wanstrath and Chris Jennell; all phenomenal piercers with experience though out the country. I look forward to continue my apprenticeship at Evolution under Noah Babcock and look forward to serving our clients with the best information, service, and compassion I can possibly give.
