Bio
In 1997 I began piercing professionally. Starting my career at a strip-mall hole-in-the-wall tattoo studio in Newport, Minnesota where I learned the importance of health and safety education. Since the Twin Cities have always been my home, I decided to stay in the area to evolve when I left that establishment. During the course of my career, I have worked, and helped manage several other studios, striving to ensure appropriate standards were met. During this time, I also received my degree in graphic design.

Even with my graphic design degree in-hand, I was unable to ignore my love for piercing. I continued piercing, and at the end of 2004, I became a proud business member of the Association of Professional Piercers. A goal I set for myself at the beginning of my piercing career. Recently, I left my home at Saint Sabrina's, Minneapolis, MN for Slave to the Needle, Seattle, WA.Shortly after my move to Seattle I became a representative for Evolve, an organic jewelry company. After a month of jewelry sales and touring the U.S. I found myself on a new path to work for Evolution.Through this I am discovering the importance of relocating in the industry and after leaving my Minneapolis home, where my career was stable for 11 years. I am honored to be a part of Evolution team, the industry of body piercing and the direction it is going.

Since the beginning I have always been eager to learn every aspect of the industry. Some of my continuing education involves classes based on jewelry standards, sterilization techniques, A-septic technique, aftercare, medical risk assessment, anthropology (piercing related) and several other relevant classes. Each year CPR is updated as well as Blood Borne/Air Borne Pathogens training. First aid classes are taken every three years. Ensuring client/piercer safety. Going from student to teacher, I have brought my knowledge of health and safety into universities, high schools, junior highs, medical environments, The Association of Professional Piercers Conference; in Las Vegas, Nevada, and anywhere I'm needed to speak on behalf of the industry.

In over a decade of experience I specialize in all areas of body piercing, including surface anchoring (a single point piercing), working with minors, organic jewelry care and use, and public outreach. If you have questions, concerns or are considering what's best for you or your teenager, please call or simply stop by and say hello. Consultations are always free and easier in person. As a piercer it is my responsibility to assure you the highest standards for your body are taken care of. You should always feel welcome and comfortable.

What I love about my career at this point is education and public outreach. Helping the public understand one of the most misunderstood industries is challenging and exciting. Even in the piercing room I make time for the client to understand relevant aftercare and awareness of their personal health to the piercing. Every client is treated equally with the same respect and comfort, but not every client is the same. That's the best part about piercing.

Even with all this in my career I still make time for my cat, skateboard, snowboard, hiking/camping, bike, some yoga, photography, art and politics. Not to to mention break dancing
